Morgan Milligan, MA, LCPC

Morgan Milligan is a licensed professional counselor in Kansas and is supervised by Niesha Miser, LCPC. Morgan is ATSA certified and in training to become Gottman-certified for the treatment of couple’s counseling.

Morgan was raised in Olathe, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human sexuality and obtained her master’s degree in counseling & guidance with an emphasis in couples and family from UMKC in December 2019. Following graduation, Morgan worked with court-mandated clients and led numerous therapy groups, including anger management, parenting, and the sex
offenders’ program. In July 2020, Morgan began private practice and has been dedicated to helping individuals of numerous backgrounds with various presenting concerns. She enjoys working with couples & families and adolescents/teenagers struggling with adjusting to the “new norm” following the COVID-19 pandemic and helping clients work through any feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression.

Morgan understands the difficulties in connecting with the “right” therapist and offers 30-minute virtual consultations to new clients interested in learning more about the therapeutic process. Additionally, Morgan offers flexible after hours during the week and weekend times. Morgan is particularly passionate about therapy focusing on the client’s overall well-being and ensuring their treatment goals are met at their own pace and comfort.
In her free time, Morgan enjoys reading, spending time with her rottweiler, tending to her variety of houseplants collected over the pandemic, and watching Oklahoma Sooners’ football. Morgan hopes to one day expand the private practice and reach those who may be resistant to receiving therapy services. Ideally, the stigma
surrounding mental health and therapy will diminish, as well as the belief that treatment is a last resort for individuals going through an immediate crisis.
